Fostering Synergies for Climate Resilience: TITAN at the FOCAL Clustering Event

Cross-project collaboration sits at the core of driving impactful European innovation. With a clear focus on aligning technical methodologies, the TITAN project was actively involved in the recent FOCAL European Clustering Event, held at the Instituto Tecnológico de Aragón (ITA) in Zaragoza, Spain.

Co-organised by the International Association for Disruptive and Frontier Science (AICFD) and TITAN partner ITA, the three-day event served as a dynamic meeting point for Europe’s climate digitalisation and agro-forestry communities. The gathering brought together sister initiatives, EU projects and industry leaders to move from dialogue to practical, coordinated action.

TITAN’s secure architecture and privacy-preserving tools were presented during the technical sessions, highlighting the project’s specific contributions to secure data sharing and confidential computing within European data spaces. Representing the consortium, the teams at ITA and SARGA actively contributed to the core thematic workshops, exploring technical synergies, data interoperability challenges and shared opportunities alongside related European initiatives.

Events of this nature are vital for the modern research landscape. By establishing a structured environment to share operational lessons, the consortium ensures that TITAN’s software platform remains fully interoperable, scalable and aligned with broader European strategic policy priorities.
