The TITAN project participated in the QUANTUM final event held in Brussels from 27 to 28 May 2026. The two-day conference brought together European Union institutions, healthcare research communities and industry leaders to discuss the emerging standards for dataset descriptions and data quality and utility labels for the European Health Data Space (EHDS).
The high-level gathering served as the definitive concluding platform for the QUANTUM initiative, focusing on data space standards that will further healthcare research in Europe. Key discussions and case study presentations zoomed in on the results of the QUANTUM project and its recommendations for further development and adoption of data quality utility labels for scientific and health datasets. These will improve findability of relevant data and support “fitness for purpose” assessments in an early stage of a study workflow.
During the event, TITAN engaged in the on-going discussions alongside fellow European initiatives. The consortium contributed to the operational dialogue, exploring how EOSC TITAN can best standardize its descriptions and data quality utility labels, making our data assets FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) in alignment with emerging data governance guidelines. TITAN’s participation emphasized that successfully leveraging a secure computing infrastructure at scale also requires unlocking data spaces in a secure and standardized manner.
By taking an active role in these strategic discussions, TITAN ensures its confidential computing platform remains fully interoperable, scalable and aligned with the latest EU policy developments, clearing the path for highly secure innovation in healthcare and life sciences.
