TITAN EOSC consortium makes significant progress at 3rd in-person meeting in Paris

Paris, France – March 15th, 2025 – The TITAN Consortium, dedicated to building a secure data collaboration platform within the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) framework, successfully concluded its third in-person meeting in Paris on March 12-13, 2025.

Hosted by TITAN partner Institut National de la Santé et de la Recherche Médicale (INSERM), the two-day General Assembly  took place in the PariSanté Campus and  brought together leading experts from all partners to debate, collaborate and drive forward the mission of this project. From technical discussions to strategic planning, this meeting led by the project coordinator Universidad de Murcia was a key moment on the road to developing a software platform solution for confidential collaboration and privacy-preserving data processing.

Key topics covered included:

  • Progress on the project’s tasks and reports
  • Enhancements to data sharing structures: legal & technical aspects
  • Workshop on enablers integration: a fruitful technical discussion
  • Integrating with the EOSC interoperability framework: partners explored strategies to further integrate the TITAN platform within the broader EOSC ecosystem.
  • Dissemination and Outreach strategies: the Consortium planned future activities to raise awareness about TITAN’S contributions to secure open science and collaboration with other EOSC initiatives

“This meeting was really an important milestone for the project”, said Thaís Soares from F6S, “we made relevant progress in aligning our technical developments and planning the next steps. The partners expertise and collaborative spirit will drive this project towards the goal of creating a secure and trusted data collaboration environment for researchers across Europe”.

One of the most important topics addressed by the consortium is the challenges of sharing and processing sensitive research data through the development of a secure and privacy-preserving platform. In doing so, TITAN will enable researchers to collaborate on sensitive datasets while maintaining confidentiality and integrity. The 16 partners’ commitment to open science and data security practices is central to fostering trust and enabling collaborative research within the EOSC development and deployment.
